The innovative cleaning system
The digitalisation and interconnection of modern manufacturing processes can only develop by strictly avoiding interference. To reach this objective, one condition is a must: Cleanliness with manufacture, assembly and storage. Here a simple truth applies: Dirt that does not get in sensitive areas at all does not need to be strenuously and cost-intensively removed. Keeping that in mind, quality, reliability and attractiveness of products are automatically improved – let alone the cost reduction of subsequent cleaning processes.
ProfilGate® is a solution for overall cleanliness throughout industries. The patented cleaning system is about clean walking and driving zones that are either embedded in the floors or above ground for lift trucks, forklifts or driverless transportation systems and people. Cleaning of tires, wheels and casters as well as the soles of employees shoe's take place when driving or walking over the areas. The patented brush strips clean dry or wet and can also be used with optional disinfection solutions.
No matter if you unload from a dirty delivery truck or take dirt inside your facility via material handling devices – most receiving areas build up dirt, debris and dust from tires and wheels. The next set of transport vehicles takes the dirt further and deeper into your storage and production areas till it causes issues inside your facilities. By strategically placing ProfilGate® throughout your building, you can now capture up to 80% of dirt – which is otherwise attached to your wheels, casters and tires – before it migrates and enters your production facility.
Certified and approved efficiency
Even though customers confirm the excellent cleaning results of the ProfilGate® system regularly, the manufacturer wanted to attest these observations by an objective and scientific analysis. In order to do this, they cooperated with the Fraunhofer IPA Institute and Laboratory IBELIN® creating an adequate test setup. During the tests,shoe-soles, as well as smaller wheels and larger tires have been cleaned, by just regularly passing the ProfilGate® system. The attached dirt particles have been captured before and after passing the field. Thereafter the probes were analyzed by quantity and also quality, using an electron microscope scanner (Model PSEMeXplorer).
The efficacy of ProfilGate® aqua cleaning fields for wet cleaning and disinfection has also been scientifically confirmed. The IBELIN® laboratory carried out the test in cooperation with the University of Bonn. The test area was an approx. two-metre-long cleaning field ProfilGate® aqua, which was filled with a two-percent disinfectant. The selected test organisms were Escherichia coli (rod bacteria which behave similar to Salmonella), Enter ococcus faecium (bacteria with high environmental resistance similar to Listeria) and Aspergillus niger (mould). Before and after driving over the cleaning field, contact and swab samples were taken from the polyamide rollers of a trolley. The single passing over the ProfilGate® aqua field led to a reduction of the microbiological load by the bacteria by approx. 99 %. The load by the mould spores was reduced by approx. 90 %.

ProfilGate® b Go Series is dry sole cleaning system for dry sole cleaning at entrances from outside. Ideal for facility entrances from outside due to the high dirt absorbing volume and wide-mesh grates. Especially suitable for the cleaning of coarsely profiled soles.
ProfilGate® i aqua Series is wet cleaning and disinfection system for bigger wheels. The wide-mesh stainless steel grate is ideal for driveways, which are driven on with broad rollers such as the ones of pallet jacks.
ProfilGate® si aqua portable is wet cleaning and disinfection system for narrow rollers. The fine-mesh, stainless steel grates enable low-vibration passage of industrial trucks with narrow rollers. They are perfectly suited for carts and trolleys.
